Your plan changes! Don’t worry Alaska Airlines has a separate policy for that. As you are already aware the Airline has 3 types of fares i.e. Main, Saver, and First. Each type of fare has different policies to change the flight. The award flights don’t have any change fees or restrictions.
Vital information regarding Change in flight:-
- If you cancel a flight and book a new flight then a change in fare will be provided or you need to pay for it.
- You can cancel or change the reservation before the flight departs and you will get future credit certificates in case you cancel the reservation and a flight change may result in a fare change i.e. increase or decrease.
- For same-day change during the check-in window, cost you around $25-50 as flight change fees but a difference in the fare is charged.
- No fees for saver fare.
- Saver fares booked after 1/05/2021 can be canceled and covered in 24 hours cancellation policy.
- Saver fares booked before 30.04.2021 can be canceled and covered in our peace of mind waiver policy and you will be provided with future travel credit.
Flight Change fees:-
Passengers can change the flight subject to the change in fare. You need to pay more for the increase in the fare and if the fare decreases then you will get credit certificates for future flights. Some of the points are as under:
- The change price does not have a fixed rate.
- The flight change fees can vary occasionally.
- On the same day, flight change can cost you $50 for all travel classes.
- Flight change on the Same-day within Alaska costs you $25.
- For non-refundable flights, a change fee of $125 will be charged and no charges are applied to you for refundable tickets but a change in fare can be applied.
How to change your flight:-
Saver fare
- It is mentioned that travelers having Saver fares do not make any changes in flights.
- Peace of mind waiver or Saver fares is eligible for 24 hours change.
Main or First Class fare
- Just copy the confirmation number and last name.
- Go to the official site.
- Visit the section “Manage Bookings”.
- Just select the flight for changing.
- Now choose a new flight.
- If it is showing any price difference, pay for it or you will get a refund.
- Now, do the checkout process for finalization of the change.
- A confirmation message will be sent to you after a successful change of flight.
Companion fares
- Just copy the confirmation number and last name.
- Go to the official site.
- Choose the option “make changes to this trip”.
- Now apply for a companion discount for new flights.
- Choose the new flight.
- The difference in the amount will be credited or paid for it.
- Checkout and finalize the process of changing a flight.
Partner award bookings
After 01.05.2021 booked partner awards can be changed online with no change fees.
Group reservations
- You need to call on the number “1-800-445-4435”, for changing the group reservation.
- If you booked a group ticket through an agent then contact him directly.
